EARNING A SECOND BACCALAUREATE DEGREE
Students who hold a baccalaureate degree in an area other than Speech and Hearing
Sciences or Communication Disorders may earn a second baccalaureate degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. Students must complete the following requirements
to earn a second bachelor’s degree.
1. Fulfill PSU requirements for a second baccalaureate degree. These requirements are outlined in the PSU Bulletin.
2. Complete all the required courses for an undergraduate major in Speech and Hearing Sciences. This means that students must complete the courses required for admission to the graduate program and the four additional courses listed
below. All courses must be taken for a letter grade and only classes graded
C or better will be counted towards a major.

3. File an Application for Undergraduate Degree with the Degree Requirements. The Application for Undergraduate Degree and instructions for its completion are available from the Office of Degree Requirements
located on the first floor of Neuberger Hall.
It should be noted that students may file an application at any time after completion of all the requirements. Students may also complete the required courses for admission to the graduate program as a postbaccalaureate and later complete the four additional courses listed above as a graduate student to earn a second baccalaureate degree, provided they also meet PSU requirements for a second baccalaureate degree.
